Compared to last year, the country welcomed an additional 108,522 tourists in 2016, an increase of 10.7%. By 2015, there were 1,018,571 tourists visiting the island. Between January and November 2016, there were 1,127,093.
France remains the main supplier of tourists. 238 522 French residents lived in the country between January and November, compared to 223 285 for the same period in 2015.
